Born in 1972, VANAC stood out within the King Seiko collection as a model driven by an especially free-spirited design philosophy. Carrying that legacy forward, the reimagined VANAC has been reconstructed through a contemporary lens –stepping once again into new territory.
At the heart of this evolution is King Seiko’s first full-scale exploration of a titanium case. A bezel-less construction creates a sense of openness, while a dimensional dial reflects the urban landscape of Tokyo, complemented by a remarkably lightweight wearing experience.

CASE
A material that balances strength and lightness
The entire exterior is crafted from titanium, whose subdued texture harmonises with the powerful dial pattern.
While titanium offers exceptional lightness and corrosion resistance, it is also a challenging material to machine and polish. In this model, the case’s multifaceted structure is fully utilized: distortion-free mirror polishing is applied to broad surfaces, while a brushed finish accents key areas, enhancing the contrast of light.
By deliberately eliminating the bezel, the design achieves both the dynamism of a form carved from a solid block of metal and a visually slim profile. Each time it catches the light, its active, refined contours are brought into sharp relief.
DIAL
A highway toward the horizon,
captured in motion
The intricately stamped pattern on the dial evokes the view of a city highway from the driver’s perspective – stretching toward the horizon with a sense of speed and momentum.
Its depth, recalling a road extending toward the center, is paired with three-dimensional, faceted hour and minute hands to enhance the sporty character.
At 12 o’clock, a V-shaped index recalls the first letter of the VANAC name, echoed again in the counterweight of the seconds hand. These subtle details quietly embody the series' identity.
LUMIBRITE
Sporty details emerging in the city at night
Lumibrite is applied to the hour and minute hands as well as the indexes to ensure visibility in low-light conditions. In this model, the Lumibrite area has been expanded compared to previous designs – enhancing legibility while adding a refined, sporty impression.
Designed to accompany a modern, active lifestyle both day and night, it brings a quiet yet confident accent of light to the highway-inspired dial.
CASE SIDE
A sculptural form defined by slimness and seamless integration
The side profile of VANAC reveals a distinctive structural beauty unique to the series. With the bezel removed, the eye flows naturally from the top of the case to the glass, creating a greater sense of openness.
The case and bracelet connect seamlessly, forming a unified silhouette emphasized by strong horizontal lines. Though compact in appearance, it conveys a sense of visual stretch and modern lightness.
The crown is engraved with King Seiko’s signature shield emblem – a subtle detail that quietly speaks to the lineage and refinement of the series.
CASE BACK
A see-through back expressing the pride and precision of mechanical watchmaking
For the first time since the brand’s revival in 2022, a see-through case back has been adopted. At the center of the glass sits the King Seiko shield emblem, beyond which the high-precision Calibre 8L45—offering approximately 72 hours of power reserve—marks the passage of time.
Wave-pattern finishing on the rotor and bridges conveys a quiet beauty within mechanical strength. Here lies another expression of VANAC, distinct from its sporty exterior.
BRACELET
A supple multi-row bracelet with interwoven radiance and depth
The newly developed bracelet emphasizes horizontal lines, composed of gently curved links that extend laterally. These subtly arched forms evoke an endless horizon.
Combined with the exceptional lightness of titanium, the bracelet offers a remarkably comfortable fit that conforms smoothly to the wrist, even during extended wear.
